Weekly Yoga Classes Bristol
For every body looking to move out of the mind and into the body.
These classes are for you if you are looking for a way to connect mind, body, and heart. If you want to move in ways that feel nourishing and supportive rather than punishing or performative. If you are ready to spend a little less time in your head and a little more time feeling at home in your body.
We practice Vinyasa Flow, linking movement and breath in a flowing sequence, so that by the time you leave you feel more at ease, calm, grounded, and centred, with a quiet sense of strength that carries you through the rest of your day.
What to expect
Vinyasa means "to place in a special way". In practice, this is a dynamic flow where movement and breath are linked together, one breath, one movement, a meditation in motion.
You can expect a creative, dynamic, and often energetic practice that gradually builds and then settles, ending with longer held postures and a full rest in savasana. The pace is mindful rather than rushed. The intention is never to push, but to listen to what your body wants and needs on that particular day.
Modifications are always available. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practising for years, you are guided to work with your body as it is right now, not as you think it should be.

My yoga story
I found yoga at the most difficult time in my life. I was at university, going through an eating disorder, caught in a cycle of shame and guilt that I could not seem to break. I felt so powerless and was desperately looking for a way to get out of it.
Yoga helped me befriend my body. Becoming aware of my breath helped me to be more present and become aware of when I was lost in thoughts. Thoughts that were causing suffering. Those little pockets of checking in with my body felt like something new and quietly revolutionary. Practice by practice, I started building a relationship with my body.
It gave me a way of listening to what my body was trying to tell me for so many years.
When I first embarked on my teacher training in India, my intention was not to teach, but to come back home, to this body.
Yoga has become my way of living, not just through the physical practice but also with how I interact with all living beings and the Earth. Through the different practices that yoga offers, meditation, breathwork, and postures, I am able to ride this life with all its ups and downs.
This is the reason I come to my mat. To be with what is present inside me. To move so I can release and let go. To breathe so I can create space to receive the new.
As I continue to align my body, heart and soul, my practice has become more playful, flowy, and creative, and this is what I want to offer in my classes. A space to play and connect with our breath and bodies so we can start cultivating self-love and self-acceptance by learning to listen to our bodies and from this, make the choices that feel right in the moment.
I am forever grateful to have found yoga as a way of healing and living my life. And it is why I feel called to share it with others.
I have trained extensively in yoga and embodiment practices, including a 200h teacher training in India, a 300h Advanced Vinyasa Krama Yoga training with YogaSara in Bristol, and yoga therapy for women's wellbeing with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. You can see my trainings here.
