Tending to your own fire:
a pause in the fullness of summer
Saturday 4th July 2026, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
St George Community Centre, BS5 8AA
You are invited to gather in celebration of Midsummer.
The Summer Solstice has just passed, the longest day, the moment of greatest light. We are now held in the heart of summer, that golden stretch of time when the world is in full bloom and the days are long and bright. And yet, with so much light comes so much demand. Invitations, commitments, the pressure to be available, radiant, and giving. Summer can quietly deplete us even as it looks abundant from the outside.
But a fire that is not tended will burn out.
Your energy is sacred. How you spend it, where you direct it, and how you replenish it matters deeply. This is a powerful moment to pause, to celebrate how far we have come, and to choose, with intention, how we wish to use our energy as we move forward. When we tend our own fire first, we do not dim our light. We sustain it. We become more fully ourselves, and from that place, everything we offer the world is truer and more alive.
When we align with the rhythms of nature and the cosmos, we begin to understand ourselves more deeply. We remember what truly matters. We return to ourselves.
This workshop is an invitation to tend to your own fire.
What to expect
Together we will move through a seasonal practice designed to align with the fullness of Summer and the radiance of the full moon. This is a space to feel your own aliveness, to celebrate every step of the journey that has brought you here, and to rest deeply enough to hear what your own heart is asking.
We will weave together:
✓ Breathwork and meditation to arrive and settle inward.
✓ A fiery and playful flow to awaken your strength, move in full expression, and remember the joy of being in your body.
✓ Yin yoga to soften, receive, and turn toward stillness.
✓ Yoga Nidra for deep rest and listening.
We will close our time together with an immersive sound journey guided by Oyu, allowing everything explored and celebrated during the practice to settle into the body, harmonise the nervous system, and nourish the heart.
After the sound immersion, there will be space to land, reflect, and connect with one another over tea and home-made rose chocolates before we leave.
About Me
I’m a women’s empowerment and embodiment practitioner, yoga facilitator, and ceremonial space holder.
All of my work is rooted in cyclical wisdom. I support women in reconnecting with the outer cycles of nature, such as the moon phases and the seasons, as well as the inner cycles of the feminine body, including the menstrual cycle and the stages of womanhood. This understanding of cycles is reflected in everything I offer, whether through one-to-one sessions, yoga classes, workshops, or women’s circles.
This work is about remembering how to live in relationship with your body and the natural world, rather than against them. It is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and restore trust in your own rhythm, energy, and intuition.
About Oyu
Oyu is a ritual sound artist who weaves storytelling, ancestral voice, and layered soundscapes into living prayer. Through sacred sound, she creates a grounded and safe(r) container where the nervous system softens and the inner landscape opens.
Deeply connected to the spirits of nature and often guided by the wisdom of trees, the spirit songs she channels carry harmony, steadiness, and timelessness. Her sound journeys invite you into a liminal space where feelings can move freely and intentions can take root beneath the surface.
